About The Author

Sorena Saffarpour

One inspiring author who survived a traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, and being in a coma is Sorena Saffarpour. Sorena Saffarpour is an Iranian-American writer, speaker, and advocate for TBI survivors. In 2020, at the age of 17, Sorena suffered a severe brain injury after crashing into a tree while driving in Northern Virginia.

The injury left Sorena in a coma for several weeks, and when he woke up, he was unable to speak, read, swallow food, write and even left the left side of his body paralyzed. Despite the doctors’ predictions that he may never recover, Sorena defied the odds and worked tirelessly to regain his abilities.

Sorena’s journey to recovery was long and challenging, but he found solace in writing. He began documenting his experiences in a journal, which eventually led to him writing his first book, “This Too Shall Eventually Pass.” In this memoir, Sorena shares his story of recovery and offers a message of hope and resilience to those who have suffered from anything in their lives.
